It's Bluey Week! The 1983 Bathurst 1000 + Imagination Project Nissan Bluebird Turbos Have Rolled Into Stock
It's Bluey Week here at Authentic Collectables, and we're not talking about everyone's favourite Aussie cartoon dog!
Why you ask? Well, it's because we've got two brand new incredible 1:18 scale Nissan Bluebird Turbo models which have just arrived that are now in stock online and should be arriving at stockists very soon, if not already.
While the car itself may be essentially the same for these two model releases, the styles of the two models definitely are not. They're two distinctly different collectables.
So let's check them out.
If you're a traditional model collector, then the first release is just for you. It's the Nissan Bluebird Turbo raced by Fred Gibson and John French in the 1983 James Hardie 1000.

The 1983 Bathurst 1000 Bluebird of Gibson / French is a car which carries historical significance for both fans of Nissan Motorsport and the Bathurst 1000. It represents an iconic driver pairing, the final race at Mount Panorama for Fred Gibson and essentially the birth of Nissan Motorsport in Australia, which was led by Gibson to achieve a legendary status in Australian motorsport history with the eventual dominance of the Nissan Skylines throughout the Group A era.
This is a scale replica which shouldn't be missed, it's limited to only 372 pieces.
Our other Bluebird release is one for collectors with a passion for things that are really different. It's the first edition of our Imagination Project range which we originally announced last year - the #910 Bluey Turbo.

The Imagination Project by Authentic Collectables is an idea born out of creativity and a desire to produce a range of cool cars with no limits and this model really lives up to that concept.
Designed by Tristan Groves, it features a wild custom livery which takes colour cues and design inspiration from the iconic 1984 Bathurst 1000 Pole Position Bluebird, with some light-hearted Easter eggs thrown in - including the car number which is a reference for those in the know. It's a real head turner and really looks awesome on display.
It's limited to 144 pieces and comes in bespoke packaging with a numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity.
